Happy Reading :)
This weekend I had a day off from my two jobs and three beautiful girls. Not that I need a day off from my girls but some adult time was much needed! I went to see and movie and go shopping with my wonderful sister. Of course the first shop I went into was Barns and Nobles. As soon as I walk in, the smell puts me at home. Don't get me wrong I love my kindle but it sure can't smell like a new book! Anyways as I made my way through the store looking at all the new books and trying to only pick out two or three. I see a young girl sitting on the floor in the middle of one of the isles reading a book. I smiled thinking how I used to do that! I could stay for hours in those stores reading. Then another thought hit me as I walked by. What if one day, a young girl or guy would be sitting in an isle reading my book. I had chills just thinking about that. I couldn't help but get excited about it. Not the fame just someone sitting holding MY book and enjoying it. It's not easy trying to get your book out there. So many road blocks come in your way, but just that one tiny glimer of hope is enough to carry me through all of it. I can't wait to one day see my book up on the shelf in the book stores. So keep reading and encouraging those around you. Sometimes a small word can mean a lot!!!
Happy Reading :)
What a beautiful day it is today!!! I can't wait for the weekend! The sun is sure shining and I am ready for spring! With that being said which is your favorite season? In books I love to think of October! Around here in the south its cool but not hot the perfect open window kind of day! I also love to incorporate that in my books. It's funny how so much of our life is put into books without even noticing. Most of my books have little bits and pieces of myself in them! I hope to connect with the reader in that way. I want a personal connection with the characters but with me the author as well.
Well I'm off to more writting....Happy Reading :)
I was feeling kind of sassy today so I choose purple! LOL Anyways I wanted to give an update......Dreamwalker 2 (title tba later) is coming along very well! I'm excited to see how the characters have grown and some maybe not so much! (hahaha evil grin) Also I have decided to rework the Dark Fae Series. I have one more book to write to end the series but I want to redo the first two. I think they need it since I have learned so much over the past few years when I first wrote those. To say the least I am going to be a VERY busy lady! Well off to more writing. Happy Reading Everyone :)
A little something from Dreamwalker............."I was wondering when I'd see you again dream walker." Her yellowed fingernails started to dig into my skin.
"Excuse me what did you call me?" I tried to jerk my arm back but before she could answer Audrey had grabbed me and slung me out the door.
As soon as I was outside I felt a rush of relief mixed with confusion. What did she call me and I know I've never seen her before.
“Come on we need to get out of here. That lady is not right.” I was shaking from her hold on me.
"Did she cut you?" Lauren looked at my arm. I had bright pink scratches on my arms now.
"It was her fingernails." I shivered at the thought. I looked back at the house and she was staring at me through the window.
"Let's get moving." I pulled the girls and we began to walk the street in front of the antique store. It had only a few houses surrounding it but mainly huge wheat fields. We held each other’s hand as we walked down the now dirt road. At first I thought we might have went the wrong way but soon we heard the sounds of life up ahead. I could feel my body’s tension ease. We started to pass more houses and they reminded me of my favorite movie, Hocus Pocus. And not just the houses but the whole town.
As soon as we hit a paved road we heard people!
“Oh thank god!” Audrey let out a sigh of relief but Lauren kept on squeezing my hand tighter.
I have been so blessed to have such good reviews on Dreamwalker. Thank you to all who have taken the time to write one. What a great new reivew on Dreamwalker!!
"Jordan has a lot of strange dreams and it gets worse over time. Her friend Lauren's mom and brother went missing awhile back and her and her dad were devastated. One night she started seeing Lauren's mom and brother in her dreams. She had to tell her friends what she saw and that started the beginning of strange things. This book was so amazing I want the whole series. This is the best book ever if you love dream books this is a great one."
